Barn quilts for books: First guide distribution at Macsherry Library on Saturday Group Notes

PLESSIS – The primary 12 months of Barn Quilts for Books concludes this weekend with a guide donation to assist kids develop a love of studying and create an enduring legacy in honor of an avid reader.

To create that legacy for her late mom, artist Kimberly A. Kernehan determined to mix artwork and literacy to honor the lady who all the time had a guide in her hand. Ms. Kernehan spent a number of hours producing 4 hand-painted barn quilts for a raffle to buy kids’s books for storytime attendees on the McSherry Library, 112 Walton St., Alexandria Bay.
